Memory Map

Privacy policy

Last updated 23 September 2026

Memory Map does not ask for an account, an email address, or your real name. Most of what the game knows about you never leaves your phone.

Kept on your device only

Your best score, your remaining lives, your Yttrium, your chosen difficulty, and your sound and haptics settings are stored on the device. Deleting the app deletes all of it.

Stored on our servers

When you first open the game it is signed in anonymously, which creates a random identifier. That identifier is not linked to you, and we cannot use it to find out who you are.

If you join a leaderboard, we store the name you chose, the country you confirmed, and your best run: its score, stage, badge and difficulty. Your name and country are visible to other players. Nothing is uploaded until you join.

If you allow notifications, we store a push token for the device, which kinds of notification you switched on, and your time zone offset so that we can respect quiet hours.

Crash reports and ads

If the game crashes, a report is sent to Google Crashlytics containing the fault, your device model and your operating system version. It contains nothing you typed.

Ads are supplied by Google AdMob, and watching one is optional. On iOS you are asked whether the app may use the advertising identifier for personalised ads. If you decline, ads still work but are less relevant. Where the law requires it, you are also shown a consent form before any ad loads.

Who else sees it

Google, as the provider of Firebase and AdMob, processes this data on our behalf. Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared with anyone else.

Children

Memory Map is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app removes everything held on your device. To also remove your leaderboard entry and release your name, email support.memory.map@gmail.com from any address and tell us the name you play under. We will delete it and confirm.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
